I divide my time between working overseas as an off piste ski and splitboard guide in the winter, doing some Alpine guiding in the summer, and teaching rock climbing and other mountain skills from home in North Wales during the rest of the time. I started rock climbing aged 14, and since then I've skied, climbed and snowboarded in many parts of the world. My experience includes everything from high altitude mountaineering and ski touring in remote places to sunny rock climbing in familiar surroundings on the doorstep. I've been working as a mountaineering instructor (MIC) and mountain guide since the early 90s, including a number of years living and working full time as a mountain guide in the Alps. I'm also a qualified teacher (Outdoor Ed/English).
