Graeme Ettle

Twenty six years of mountaineering have taken Graeme Ettle to many corners of the world. His passion and love of mountaineering led him to become a qualified Mountain Guide in 1996. Since then Graeme has spent winters guiding ice and mixed climbs throughout Scotland and the Alps. Summers are spent in the Alps guiding long rock climbs and classic Alpine mountain routes, whilst autumns and springs often involve guiding in various international venues, such as Africa, the US and India.

Aside from his classic guiding work, Graeme has featured in mountaineering filming projects, such as The Edge and The Great Climb. Graeme works in close partnership with Berghaus. As an experienced and seasoned Guide, Graeme is also involved in training and assessing British Guides.

Graeme currently spends most of the year living in the Swiss Alps with his wife and daughter. However, his Scottish roots bring him back to the Cairngorms (his first love) each winter where his encyclopeadic knowledge and depth of experience of winter climbing is second to none.
