Brian specializes in Film and TV Safety and Rigging worldwide.

Based in the Peak District he is available for days rock climbing.

He has 30 years experience at the highest level of climbing with expeditions to Nepal, India and Pakistan including Everest (in winter), K2, Jannu, Nuptse, Makalu, Baltoro Kangri, Shivling and Ogre 2 plus peaks in Patagonia, Bolivia and Peru. Brian is also a well travelled rock climber and an expert skier.

With over 25 years experience as a Mountain Guide (IFMGA) he is also a technical consultancy for leading equipment manufacturers: Scarpa (footwear), Grivel (ice climbing), Deuter (packs) and Mountain Equipment (clothing and sleeping bags).

Brian main focus in recent years is his company FILM AND MOUNTAIN LTD (http://wwwfilmandmountain.com ). This provides safety, rigging and location advice on film and photography projects involving climbing, mountaineering, skiing, adventure sports and remote expeditions in extreme and high environments.
Brian’s credits are very extensive and include organizing all of the mountain filming on the BAFTA award winning film "Touching the Void" and it's sequel the Emmy award winning "Beckoning Silence", also "Bridget Jones", the Bond "Die another Day" , "Alien vs Predator" and "Shackleton" Channel 4

Drama in Greenland, and IMAX in the Antarctic.Numerous documentaries credits such as “Wilderness St Kilda”, “Mountain Men”, “Wild Climbs”, “The Face” and “The Edge” in worldwide locations - K2,Matterhorn, Denali, Jordan, Vietnam, South Africa, Canada, USA, Borneo, South Georgia, Everest and of course the UK.

Between 1999 and 2008 Brian co-directed the KENDAL MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL , the major mountain festival in the UK.
