Welcome to the BMG website and my profile.
I live in the Lake District with my wife Sally and son Monty.
I'm a director of the International School of Mountaineering (ISM) based in Leysin, Switzerland.
I'm a member of the BMG training committee, looking after and running the BMG training & assessment scheme.
Icefall climbing is my main focus and passion in the winter, guiding/instructing clients in the Alps and the Canadian Rockies.
In the spring I'm away climbing in Alaska and then guiding/instructing rock climbing back home here in the Lakes.
During the summer I'm part of a strong team at ISM, running mountaineering courses & private guiding based in Switzerland but climbing throughout the Alps.
For the last 10 years during september, I've been guiding clients to remote/unclimbed regions of the Tien Shan, Kyrgyzstan.
In the autumn, you'll find me out rock climbing here at home in the Lake District and spending time with my family.
