Amazing winter in the Lakes

British Mountain Guides enjoy exceptional ski conditions in the English Lake District

You could be forgiven for thinking that you can't ski couloirs like this in England - but this is turning out to be an exceptional winter. And when there are rare conditions to be enjoyed, you can be sure there will be a Guide out enjoying them.

Robin Beadle sent us these fantastic pictures of himself and Owain Jones out making the most of the exceptional conditions. As Robin describes:

We've got awesome skiing conditions in the Lakes right now, especially on Helvellyn and Brown Cove Gully etc.Over the past couple of weeks we've skiied Helvellyn Red Tarn Face, Catstye Cam Gully, Brown Cove Crag Gully, Skiddaw Slades Beck, Wetherlam Black Sail Buttress, and Glassy Crag on the N Face. We were out again on Helvellyn with Owain Jones yesterday. You can ski from the road, or the garden gate!

Obviously this is so rare that you'd be forgiven for wanting a slice of the action! Find Robin in the members section (click on 'members' above) or find guides in the Lake District by searching the 'Hire a Guide' feature of this site. This could be you!
