Another Cool achievement for Kenton

A Cool 9 times for Kenton

British Mountain Guide, Kenton Cool, has just reached the summit of Everest - for the 9th time!

In what seems the most unlikely 'regular feature' of the BMG news pages, British Guide Kenton Cool has reached the top of the world, again! Kenton reached the 8848m summit of Mount Everest for the 9th time on Friday 6th May 2011. It is an impressive achievment, and he extended his own record for the number of succesful summits of the world's highest mountain by a British climber.

To make this trip special, Kenton phoned his wife from the summit, and spread the news on Twitter:

"Everest summit no 9!1st tweet from the top of the world thanks to a weak 3G signal & the awesome Samsung Galaxy S2 handset!"

Four days later, and Kenton was back in the UK on the BBC news. Some may debate the blatant sponsorship of such an extraordinary trip, but for anyone to summit Everest 9 times is an outstanding achievement.
