BMG AGM and Annual Dinner
Stu McAleese, Stuart Macdonald and
Dave Hollinger receive their Guides Diplomas
Sat 13th December saw the AGM and Annual Dinner of the British Mountain Guides at the Hotel Eden in Chamonix, the first time this event has been held outside the UK.
The AGM on Saturday decided on the new BMG logo which is to be rolled out to the press in the near future. On Saturday evening over 100 guides and their guests gathered for dinner, sharing their many adventures from the last year. During the evening Bob Lewis was presented with the title of Honoured Guide. Bob was involoved in the process of the BMG becoming part of the IFMGA in the 70's and was one of the first British Guides to live in the Alps and do regular ski work. Roger Payne the new president of the BMG had the pleasure of presenting Stu McAleese, Stuart Macdonald and Dave Hollinger with their Guides Diplomas having completed the training and assessment process earlier this year.
