BMG at the summit of Mountain Training
Navigating in very 'British' weather!
British Mountain Guides deliver top quality training across the awards
It's conference and AGM season again in the world of Mountain Training, and many British Mountain Guides have been dodging the weather by delivering some inspirational training sessions and presentations to our fellow governing bodies.
At a recent MLTA conference, Peak Mountain Training (exclusively British Mountain Guides) delivered some cutting edge CPD sessions to Mountain Leaders. As Dave Hollinger puts it:
Despite the weather, Neil, James and I managed to keep the throttle open on our "Turbo SPA" and by the end of Sunday those on our "Lumps, Bumps & Over-used Needles" (aka Coaching Nav) realised it wasn't quite as random as it sounded!!!
Martin Chester (BMG Publicity Officer, and Chief Instructor at Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre) delivered a two day workshop on 'The Coaching Process' for leaders wishing to apply coaching skills to their work in the great outdoors. This received great reviews on the MLTA website.
With many British Mountain Guides holding key jobs throughout the world of Mountain Leader Training in the UK and further afield, this is a great seasonal reminder of the highest quality, and extraordinary diversity of expertise within our association.
