British Annapurna III Expedition
The awesome vista of Annapurna III
Could the South East ridge of Annapurna III finally succumb to the talents of a British Mountain Guide?
BMG member Matt Helliker, along with Nick Bullock and Pete Benson, are on their way to attempt one of the toughest unclimbed lines in the Himalayas.
The unclimbed south-east ridge of Annapurna III (7555m) has been attempted by many expeditions including no less than four British expeditions in the 1980's. Several BMG members were part of these expeditions including Nick Kekus, Ewan Todd, Willy Todd, Chris Dale, Andy Perkins, and Andy Cave.
The expedition will climb in the purest 'alpine' style with no bolt-kit, fixed rope, or climbing sherpas.

We wish Matt and the team all the best for a successful conclusion to what will be another great expedition.
