British Mountain Guide summits Everest from both sides
Shaun Hutson has recently become the first BMG member to summit Everest from both the North and South side of the mountain.
The Himalayan Experience base camp reported that Shaun successfully completed the ascent of Everest from the South side at 08.50 on the 21st of May.
This makes Shaun the first BMG guide to have summitted Everest from both the North (Tibet) and South (Nepal) sides of the mountain. Shaun is a guide on fellow BMG member Russell Brice's Himalayan Experience expedition.
In total the expedition took 58 people to the summit - 30 members and 28 Sherpas. All are now safely on their way back.
