British Mountain Guides at Kendal Mountain Festival
British Mountain Guides played a major role in Kendal Mountain Festival, the biggest social and cultural event of the mountaineering calendar.
On stage, Kenton Cool and Russell Brice lectured to a major crowds, as well as taking part in a panel discussion on the ethics of oxygen on Everest with such notables as Chris Bonington and Reinhold Messner.
Andy Cave spoke about Patagonian adventures, and read from his new book, Thin White Line.
Louise Thomas chaired the discussion panel "A Woman's Place?" featuring an all star line up of female climbing talent.
Andy Perkins plays a more behind the scenes role at the Festival, organising all the comperes but also got on stage this year to host a chat show with extreme skier Remy Lecluse.
And finally (and arguably most importantly) Stu Miller and Si Abrahams were on the decks at the Saturday night party!
Thanks to Henry Iddon for the blackmail photos….
