Snowy in Scotland

Curved Ridge looking snowy

British Mountain Guides report excellent conditions North of the border

Winter has come early again this year, with plenty of snow on Ben Nevis and the higher Scottish peaks well before the end of November.

Alan Kimber of West Coast Mountain Guides posts regular reports on his conditions blog - with climbers and fellow outdoor professionals reporting in from all over Scotland (and we should thank Spike Sellers - one of Alan's 'regulars' for the photo)

Likewise, BMG member Mike Pescod has some excellent conditions reports on the web pages of Abacus Mountaineering.

With some fluctuations in the weather, and the freezing level, coming up - these are just the ingredients we need to build the uniquely special Scottish Conditions we all enjoy! Let's hope it's the start of another great winter.
