I have been skiing, climbing and mountaineering for around twenty years and have visited North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australasia and Africa in my pursuit of adventure. I have climbed E6 on the rock, grade VII in winter and climbed to 7000m in the Himalaya. I ski nearly every week of the winter season. In other words I love it all! I bring this enthusiasm for all things mountainous to my work as an internationally qualified mountain guide (IFMGA), and as a mountaineering instructor (MIC). Since 1989, I have been introducing novices to the mountains and helping experts to improve.
I spent many years as a senior instructor at Plas y Brenin (the National Mountain Centre) where much of my work was training and assessing future instructors. I am also in charge of avalanche training to the Ski Club of Great Britain and I head the mountaineering training for the UK's UIAA Diploma in Mountain Medicine.
Home is Chamonix, France and North Wales . I offer a personal service which can be tailored to the individual and courses where I work alongside hand picked colleagues who all hold the international mountain guide's carnet.
I offer off-piste skiing, ski touring and ski mountaineering, ice-climbing, alpine climbing and rock climbing.
