British Mountain Guides at Ski Mountaineering Symposium

4th British Ski Mountaineering Symposium

British Mountain Guides will deliver inspiration and technical expertise at the 4th British Ski Mountaineering Symposium

Britain's leading three ski-mountaineering clubs (Alpine club, Alpine Ski Club, and Eagle Ski Club) are teaming up to run the 4th British Ski-Mountaineering Symposium: a weekend of expert speakers, practical Alpine skills sessions and seminars, equipment displays and sales, with after-dinner guest speaker, Stephen Venables.

The Symposium aims to develop the skills and knowledge of participants, from seasoned ski-mountaineers to newcomers to the sport, and to provide an opportunity for all to meet, share their experiences and plant the seeds for future expeditions. British Guides Martin Chester, Rob Spencer, Andy Perkins, and Phil Dowthwaite will be there to deliver practical workshops and technical tips.

The Symposium will be held at Plas Y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre in Snowdonia on the 10th and 11th of December, benefitting from the extensive facilities there - including bed & breakfast accommodation for participants, several bars, a dry ski slope and climbing walls.
