Kendal Mountain Festival
17 - 20 November 2011
17th to 20th November sees the annual gathering of the clan at Kendal Mountain Festival and BMG guides are heavily involved this year on stage and screen.
Kenton Cool appears on the Festival’s opening night in conversation with Steve Venables. In all Kenton makes 3 appearances, on a panel discussion with the equally shy and retiring Andy Kirkpatrick on the Saturday, swiftly followed by a lecture on skiing 8000m peaks.
Moonflower, the new film from Posing Productions, stars Jon Bracey and Matt Helliker. It premiers on the Friday night with Jon and Matt in attendance. Jon and Matt also deliver a special one-off lecture on the Saturday morning in the Dojo, the Festival’s biggest venue.
The Festival’s presenter team is coordinated by Andy Perkins, and this year he’s recruited several BMG guides as willing volunteers to keep the show on the road. Adrian Nelhams, Twid Turner, Kenton Cool, Jon Bracey and, of course, one of the Festival’s founders, Brian Hall, will all be stepping up to the mic at various points throughout the 4 days of the Fest.
