Director of the International School of Mountaineering - ISM. Global Ambassador - Arc'teryx. I live in Kendal & train and climb in the Lake District when not working! ISM offers summer alpine mountaineering instructional courses, guided climbing & private guiding from our base in Le Fayet - Saint Gervais Mont Blanc close to Chamonix. In winter, ISM offers a range of icefall climbing instructional courses and guided climbing again from our base close to Chamonix. The ISM office is in the Lake District and here we offer both trad climbing instructional & guided climbing days and weekends as well as alpine preparation/training days. ISM also offer a a virgin peaks expedition to Kyrgyzstan which we've run each year since the break up of the Soviet Union.
