About Oliver

Over the past 25 years Olly has skied and climbed all over the world; from chasing powder in Russia to scaling rock faces in Yosemite and climbing vertical ice in Cogne, Italy. Olly is based fort most of the year near Chamonix. Olly has a traditional mountaineering, rock climbing and ice climbing background. This includes numerous routes throughout the UK and Europe with on sight ascents of winter VII, trad E6 and sport 8a. Olly has climbed extensively throughout the European Alps ascending many classic North faces such as the Eiger, Matterhorn and Grandes Jourasses. He is also one of the most experienced ski guides in the business and has spent many seasons honing his skills around the world. Ski touring is a major part of his winter having competed in many world cup ski randonee races with team GB and completed the Patrouille du Glacier in 8 hours. He has worked on numerous films as part of the safety and stunt team including Touching the Void, Blindsight, Alive, Mountains and Alien VS Predator. He is Director of the highly professional mountaineering company 'Mountain Tracks' who provide guided trips throughout Europe and further a field. They are market leaders in off piste skiing and ski touring, mountaineering and trekking.
