I am from Dublin, Ireland and presently working as a guide, out of Chamonix. I started out climbing on the sea cliffs of Ireland, traditional climbing and then began to travel and develop my skills all over the world. From a year spent in Canada, I learnt how to ice climb in Canmore. I then moved to Squamish, where I learnt how to crack climb and also got stuck into the world class bouldering there. I began to explore the incredibly wild mountain ranges in western Canada, and most memorably, the Bugaboos. I later moved to Chamonix for the first time and to access the winter mountain routes I started to learn how to ski. At this point I was introduced to the idea of working as a guide. After a decade I finished the journey to becoming a guide. I have not regretted the choice I made to persevere in this trade. I am apart of an amazing community of like minded people and I have now experienced the satisfaction we all get from bringing clients into the mountains!
