About Sandy (Alexander)

I qualified as a full IFMGA/BMG guide in 1993. I was born in the whisky distilling glens of the Highlands of Scotland and my home base is in Newtonmore, Scotland. where I run a wide range of mountain related skills courses from hill walking, navigation, avalanche awareness, winter climbing and mountaineering, technical climbing and private guiding. In the summer months I tend to be based in Chamonix, France, mainly for Alpine mountaineering and 4000 meter peaks. I also provide and run ski mountaineering courses and trips in the spring.
